Having too few beneficial bacteria in the vaginal microbiome may increase a woman's chance of ovarian cancer, and swabs may be used to spot this, suggests a new study, which found that Lactobacilli levels were significantly lower in women under 50 with ovarian cancer or with high-risk cancer genes.
